Signal – Blake Masters Calls Out Apple’s Deceptive New “Child Safety” Initiative

Populist, America First Arizona Senate Republican candidate Blake Masters has responded to Apple’s “Expanded Protections for Children” initiative, in which the big tech behemoth plans to preemptively scan every Apple user’s photos in order to “provide valuable information to law enforcement,” ripping the government-protected monopoly’s plan as “dystopian.” As Masters points out, whenever Big Tech (which, as we’ve stated previously at Advanced Citizenship, is merely an extension of the surveillance state) introduces “necessary protections” to tackle an obviously very real problem like child abuse, they are merely laying the groundwork for their next march through our institutions: violating the civil liberties of “everybody who opposes our new oligarchy” by scanning their phones for arbitrary concepts like “extremism” and “hateful content.” Read Masters’ statement here as well as the one issued by the leading nonprofit defending digital privacy, free speech, and innovation, The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), here
