Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously, so-called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the Fake News Media. Nobody embodied the grotesque kabuki theater politics of the Globalist American Empire better than the late Colin Powell. We are not attempting to celebrate his death and our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Legacies are complex and we don’t fear nuance when it comes to human nature here. That being said, let’s just be totally frank and honest about who Colin Powell was because who he was a war criminal, one that first tried to divert attention away from his lifetime of sin by denouncing the GOP and backing Obama in 2008 before then doubling down on his guilt by backing Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020 (as he projected said aforementioned guilt by calling Trump – who never did anything remotely as evil or appalling as justifying invading Iraq in 2003 by lying about the existence of weapons of mass destruction to the UN Security Council – a liar with “rhetoric” that is “dangerous to our democracy”). We can guarantee you with near hundred percent certainty that the soldiers, families, and civilians that died and suffered because of Powell’s role in lying our troops into war probably find Trump’s ‘rhetoric’ just a tad less ‘dangerous’ than the blood on the late Powell’s hands. Then again, hey, what do we know?

Watching shitlibs go from rightfully criticizing the Bush administration (though we didn’t like the whole ripping Bush’s voters part) in the 2000’s for its outrageous war crimes, to slobbering over the Bush administration because it also hated the bad orange man known as President Donald J. Trump, is a phenomenon that could make any non-garbage American citizen cynical, pessimistic, and completely disillusioned.

Thankfully, however, we have brave, courageous, and outspoken public figures like Populist Left firebrand Krystal Ball willing to breathtakingly set the record straight (sorry, Tucker, your tribute to Powell was your most disingenuous monologue of all-time – don’t worry, though, we’re confident that you understandably threw up in a garbage can after the Fox execs told you that you had to deliver this drivel…or else):

There was no justice or accountability for [what Powell did]. So at the very least, when a person passes there has to be an accurate public record of what they actually did as a public figure with immense amount of power in their life. It’s not to be mean. It’s not to be nasty. It’s not to cause his family pain, who, one-hundred percent, I feel for them in their sorry. This has nothing to do with that. In the final calculus the public record needs to be accurate of what you did.

Krystal continues her epic diatribe by delivering a historically correct recap of ‘liberals’ circa 2015 to now…

Liberals hold up not only Colin Powell, but any number of Bush Era Neocons, some of the worst war criminals in history, as icons of the #resistance because they happen to be against Donald Trump. Trump becomes the defining figure, the defining issue, nothing else matters. Any other crime or sin you’ve created in the past can be forgiven, so long as you have the right answer to that one question of where you stand on Donald Trump.
