At one point, Bannon, always ready to go with a based movie reference, paraphrases the classic David Mamet-penned line that Jimmy Malone (Sean Connery) says to Eliot Ness (Kevin Costner) in Brian De Palma’s The Untouchables when Ness gets perplexed upon realizing the first Capone-connected spot Malone selects for them to raid is literally just a post office across the street from their own police station) in reference to why our regime doesn’t crackdown on those robbing American citizens blind: “By the way, they could shut them down. Everybody knows where the whiskey is. Do you have the will to go to the still and blow it up? The problem is that we’re financing the Chinese Communist Party.” The actual line from The Untouchables is “Mr. Ness, everybody knows where the booze is. The problem isn’t finding it.
