Signal- Dan Crenshaw Is John Mccain 2.0

“C’mon kids… follow my lead and you too can have the choice of either working in the gig economy with no benefits for a woke corporation or die in a war..” – Ryan James Girdusky on Dan Crenshaw

To be fair to the astonishingly fake Dan Crenshaw, he’s at least honest about his intense antipopulism (whereas most GOP hacks pretend to embrace it). During his most recent visit to The Joe Rogan Experience, Crenshaw clutched his pearls and proclaimed that “Populism [is] so dangerous…it’s just another form of victimhood politics. It’s telling you what you feel. It’s mirroring your feelings back to you. It’s telling you what you want to hear as opposed to the truth. I think that’s a decent definition of populism.” Suffice to say, we couldn’t be more in agreement with Breaking Points co-host Saagar Enjeti (a leading populist critic of “Crenshaw Conservatism” since 2019) after he responded to Crenshaw’s appearance by saying “That’s probably one of the dumbest articulations of populism I’ve ever heard.” As Kirk Jing wrote for The Federalist, “It’s Not ‘Victimhood Populism’ To Point Out Our Elites Have Failed”, as “America increasingly looks like a caste society, where wealth, education, marriage, and family are narrowly inherited.”

We bring this up because the Globalist American Empire footsoldiers over at Politico have written yet another (you can read the previous one here) Crenshaw slob-job, “Dan Crenshaw is building a young activist army, one summit at a time” (in the piece, journalist Hailey Fuchs writes “The lawmaker is trying something new in electoral politics, getting people to pay to come see him. It’s working.”), in the process further cementing several inconvenient truths. One, teenage faux-MAGA useful idiots going ‘absolutely wild’ over “Cringe” Crenshaw have no earthly idea as to why Trump won in 2016 (or, for that matter, why he lost in 2020), and, two, Crenshaw is John McCain 2.0 (we dare you to compare how the corporate press covers him versus, say, Ron DeSantis, Matt Gaetz, J.D. Vance, Blake Masters, or Joe Kent).

While Crenshaw spends his nights lying awake, thinking about how to invade Afghanistan again, be sure to read Bill Kilgore’s superb piece “Dan Crenshaw Is No Statesman” for American Greatness here, watch Saagar Enjeti’s evergreen populist takedown of Crenshaw’s antipopulism here, and check out Charlie Kirk push back against Crenshaw’s call for endless wars here.
