Elise Stefanik’s (R-NY) call for austerity during her recent Fox Business “Kudlow” appearance, reminds her that despite the fact that the GOP has been cutting taxes for 40 years, economic growth, wage growth, and domestic investment are all way down. After lighting up Nikki Haley (R-Establishment) and her tired “tax cuts solve everything” platitudes, Cass suggests that GOP should instead be focusing their energy on policy solutions that support parents, boost domestic industry, finance infrastructure, bring manufacturing back to the United States (i.e. rebuild labor), and create non-college pathways to success, etc. Read more here, here, and here.
