Populist (“To the political establishment and pundits, my campaign is ‘complicated’ because I’m actually putting the People over political self-interest & party litmus tests. To me, that’s not ‘complicated.’ It’s being a true public servant.”) New York City Republican mayoral nominee Curtis Sliwa took fake “left-wing populist” (lol) grifter AOC to the woodshed last week, tweeting “As NYC Mayor, I will create a 100% voluntary Tax the Rich fund, so outspoken, pro-tax celebrities can voluntarily pay more taxes For example, if AOC & celebrities think the rich should pay more taxes, then they’re welcome to pay more themselves. Let’s put $ where one’s mouth is.” This is an absolutely brilliant idea and we at Advanced Citizenship support it 100% so long as there is transparency and oversight (so we can have the receipts when predictably zero dollars roll into the ‘100% voluntary Tax the Rich fund’ from these very same ‘outspoken, pro-tax celebrities’).
