To the extent that we see the alliance of the [Populist] Right and Left, it is a natural extension of the nature of what the regime is. People who criticize the regime are going to naturally fall into this traditional Anti-Wall Street, Anti-Military Industrial Complex Left and they’re also going to fall into the category of people like Trump or what Trump seemed to represent. – Darren Beattie, System Update
Glenn Greenwald’s new Rumble series, “System Update,” is unsurprisingly terrific and incredibly based. In Glenn’s phenomenal recent interview with Revolver News head honcho and Based MVP Darren Beattie, the two spend a significant (but not enough) amount of time discussing Populist Left/Right realignments. A key segment features Darren breaking down how wokeness is an essential feature of the insurmountably corrupt modern American regime:
It is not simply that we have all these institutions like the Military Industrial Complex and Wall Street and so forth and that they just happen to become woke as a kind of fashion. There is an element of that. There’s an element in which they use the woke politics in order to distract from their own crimes. But the full story has to incorporate what I’m suggesting, which is that woke politics is integral to the way power works in this country and how the regime exercises its power. You see that in its soft power examples like Color Revolutions and so forth, which all rely on identifying and exacerbating ethnic cleavages in a target regime, in ginning up mass protest on the basis of gender and everything you see in Belarus and so forth, you see with that with the Rohingya in Myanmar, you see that with Uyghurs in China. There’s a specific type of regime change that is not this overt Iraq War type, boots-on-the-ground regime change, but this sort of soft power propaganda type which combines really aggressive media propaganda with the exacerbation of various ethnic and gender grievances and sort of various NGOs and institutions that can mobilize mass protest. That’s basically what the Color Revolution is when we apply it overseas and I think we see a lot of that same mechanism applied here domestically to the point where it is integral to the manner in which the United States exercises power.
The entire conversation is this riveting in its analysis of how the disturbed Globalist American Empire has crystalized post Cold War.
By the way, if you want to know whether you’re a dissident in Globalist American Empire, ask yourself if you’ve been called a “Conspiracy Theorist”, a “White Supremacist”, a “Disinformation Agent”, or a “Russian Agent” in the last decade by any regime bootlicker on either the Establishment “Right” or “Left” (and then, of course, ask yourself if you actually are, in fact, any of these things). If you have been called these pejoratives, but you are not, in fact, any of them, well, guess what? You are a dissident, Advanced Citizen. Own it and operate accordingly.
